What a magical experience. "Sweet Dreams" was a terrific place to stay in a very friendly Boating Community within walking distance to great restaurants and only a mile from the beach. This special Yacht in the beautiful Las Olas Isles provides both elegance and comfort in the same space. The interior is spacious and very well designed and decorated for both form and function. The exterior provided us three distinct places to hang out and enjoy our coffee, tea & cocktails with friends. From Ryan's "always available support and care" to the Marina Manager, Kathy, helping us with our private parking space & local area questions, this place Rocks! We will come back to "Sweet Dreams" again and again. March 2013

Sometimes a little variety goes a long way in life. And this time, I surprised my family with a houseboat instead of another plastic corporate hotel. It was wonderful. Of course you need to manage everybody's expectations. Not fancy. But definitely unique. We slept well and cooked a nice dinner and breakfast in the simple kitchen. Showers were ok. Ryan is a super host and really took great care of us. In summary, for anyone with an adventurous gene, this is a great way to do Boston for a few nights. Go for it!

"Doesn't get any better!" I wanted to give my 13 year old grandson something unique to remember on his "milestone" birthday so we stayed on a rock-on-rental this past weekend and it was such a out of the ordinary. Three of us got in on a Friday evening. Ryan met us at the gate and showed us to our "boat" which was clean, roomy, quiet, safe and the coolest thing ever! The sunset from the roof deck was spectacular. We quickly made ourselves at home (lots of storage space) and grilled our dinner (finding all the necessary items easily), ate on the "porch" with little patio lights. The beds were soft and extremely comfortable as were the linens and towels. We wanted to ride Codzilla (a must) and wander Quincy Market so Ryan suggested we use the water taxi (included in the rental price!) to bring us to the Long Wharf area. We called, gave them about an hours notice and they were right at our dock at the given time. Pick up from Long Wharf was just as easy (and you get a nice boat ride around the harbor). There is a large grocery store just down the street, and smaller corner stores within walking distance which is very convenient. I highly recommend the experience to anyone at any age!!! We will definitely be back! Thank you Ryan and Karina for making our stay so comfortable and fun.

"Relaxing and fun weekend getaway." They say location is everything and with this houseboat, that is definitely the case! Our first time vacationing of this type and we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and nice the furnishings were. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the upper deck and relaxing before heading off to an evening Sox game. Being right near the heart of Boston was fantastic and it's very easy to get around using the water taxi...or just walking. I highly recommend this for a different kind of stay!!!

"Boston Guys Weekend!" Thanks to Ryan at RockonRentals, we had a great guys weekend in Boston. We were searching for a unique spot, close to downtown Boston. The Gibson Girl was the perfect place. Great location, plenty of space for 5 guys, great area to hang out on deck. The Marina was very secure and quiet. Thanks again!!!

We found everything as described. The boat is brand new and clean as a whistle. We dined in for some meals and found all the utensils we needed. For the meals we ate out, it was just a 10 minute walk up Los Olas Blvd to a variety of restaurants. The lunch at Mango's Cafe is awesome! We used the bikes to ride over to the Intercoastal waterway and watch the boat traffic. We really liked lounging/reading/having a cocktail on the upper deck of the houseboat, the furniture is very comfy. Another day we walked up Los Olas Blvd. and got on the Water Taxi. They give a great narrated tour of the area and all the expensive vacation homes owned by celebrities. This is so relaxing and everything we need is right here. The beach is about a 15 minute walk. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway in a great location.

We had a comfortable and memorable stay on the Aries. It was the first houseboat I have lived aboard. I will try to address a few of the things I worried about before our trip in case others have the same worries. Worry: I worried that it would be cold. Snow was in the forecast. Reality: The Aries has a heating and cooling system that is much better than the one in my home. It has a wall mounted thermostat that works fine. We were warm and comfortable. Worry: Because it is a boat on the water, would the bedding and towels be damp and smell like seaweed? Reality: No. The sheets, the bedding were fine. The beds were like hotel beds. Worry: The bathroom. Would we have to take sea showers that lasted just a minute with cold water? Reality: The bathroom is full size. It has two rooms and worked well for us to share. Worry: I've seen the TV shows. Was the area where the Aries is tied up dangerous? Reality: It is nestled close to some VERY nice hotels and apartments. This is a fancy area. The list of amenities went far beyond what the site describes. We were constantly finding things that made our stay better: an iron, a washer and drier, a full sized fridge, a boom box, WiFi, kuerig coffee maker, DishTV with music channels. Worry: would it be hard for folks to step on and off the Aries with dress shoes and suits? Reality: YES. depending on the tide and the amount of snow on the gangway, it could be a huge challenge. One of us actually got "snowed in." one morning. Good thing for that heater and fridge. This is not a rental for anyone with limited mobility. Best for last: by renting the Aries and housing 4 people, we saved our employer more than 1000 dollars. And when colleagues saw us arriving by water taxi with big smiles -- they felt landlocked by a boring, hotel-room life. Rock on, Ryan. Rock on!

My sister-in-law and I needed a get away weekend, and I stumbled upon this rental. Neither one of us had rented a yacht before, so we thought this would be a perfect excuse to do it. I felt very comfortable working with Ryan. He answered all of my questions via email or phone. Once my sister-in-law and I arrived in town, Howie meet us at the boat. Howie was fantastic! He gave us a tour of the boat and had fishing/scuba/snorkeling/touring pamphlets ready for us. Howie told us where to go for the best food, the best outside sunset view, the best fishing charter, the best bands, the best food/drinks to order at the marina bar, etc. He even gave us specific people to ask for and to tell them "Howie sent us". A lot of the things we did that weekend were things we wouldn't have known about unless Howie told us. The boat was nice. It was very tidy. There was plenty of room for the two of us, and the AC in the boat worked great. We were planning on cooking meals to save money, but we never ended up doing it. (There were too many places we wanted to see and try!) The bathrooms and showers were clean. They were small, but it's a boat after all . The boat was very rustic. Lots of wood everywhere. It's an older boat, but has been maintained well. The best suggestion that Howie gave us was to lay some blankets out on the bow of the boat at night. We must have laid outside until 2 am every night. There was a nice breeze, the stars were out, and we could slightly hear the music that was being played at the marina bar. I think this yacht has one of the best slips in the marina. I was expecting the marina to be a little bigger, and it was also down at the end of a canal, so you couldn't actually see the ocean. After the first day, I didn't really even notice anymore. Knowing this now, I'd still go back. Howie told us where we could rent a small boat (12-18ft) with a map and GPS to take down the canal and out to the ocean. We declined, knowing we'd probably be in Cuba a few hours later despite the map and GPS. We ended up doing a day trip to Key West. It took us about 2 hrs to get there, so we had plenty of time to spend in Key West and get back to the boat at a decent time. Overall, it was a great vacation spot. The marina was full of friendly locals (no tourists). My sister-in-law and I needed a weekend to sit in peace and quiet and do nothing. This was it!

Sweet Dreams was exactly that...a dream!! Myself and 3 other ladies stayed on this lovely little yacht for a 30th birthday getaway and we could not have asked for more. Ryan was great- super attentive and accommodating. The yacht itself was perfect, and slept us comfortably. It was just the right amount of cozy, and had a breathtaking sunset view. We will be back one day and will never forget SWEET DREAMS!!!
